Wedding Morning Tips
I thought this week I might share some useful wedding morning tips that hopefully will make your preparations go smoothly. Over the years of doing many wedding mornings there are certain little things that will make all the difference.
Firstly eat breakfast. So many brides will feel nervous and have butterflies on their wedding morning feeling that they don’t want to eat. It is important that you do eat and drink, even it you don’t feel like it. It will be a long day and quite a lot of time goes by before you get to eat. We don’t want our brides fainting from nerves and lack of food.
Try and eat your breakfast before you have your makeup applied.
Wear something that does not have to be taken off over your head. A light silk dressing gown is ideal. It won’t mess the back of your hair up once it has been done and you can slip it off easily to step into your wedding dress. Bridesmaids are recommended to do the same.
Remember to clean your teeth before have makeup applied.
Have some drinking straws available, then if you all need to drink and you won’t spoil your lipstick.
Plan the morning with your hair and makeup artist and try to stick to the times. This will make the morning very chilled.
Have your bridesmaids organised. Delegate if things need doing on the morning of your wedding. This is your day, your wedding preparations and it is important that you don’t get stressed. It is your time to be pampered and feel beautiful from the very start.
If possible have a room set aside with lots of natural light for the hair and makeup artists to work.
Have someone available who has practiced helping you into your dress. If it is a lace up dress make sure the person helping you into your dress has had a lesson in lacing your dress up, so they are confident on the day that your dress will look its best.
Don’t wash your hair on the morning of the wedding. If you need to wash your hair do it the day before your wedding.
Lastly enjoy the whole of your wedding day, you have been planning this day for a long time!
