Summer Brides, Beautiful Venues
It has been a busy August with all my Summer Brides. I have had so much going on in August not only weddings but an engagement shoot, makeup lessons, makeup workshop, and special occasion hair and makeup.
I have been to some beautiful places for the first time it has been a real buzz. So I thought I would share some of those places with you. I will share my weddings as I receive pictures from my lovely brides.
Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa
Some venues that have wowed me this year. I have been to The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa in Bath. Although a 5 star hotel, the staff are incredible friendly and welcoming making you feel quite at home in their very luxurious surroundings. I had the pleasure of styling Sam’s hair and makeup at the Royal Crescent Hotel. The hair and makeup was a beautiful messy up do with a classic natural bridal makeup. Kingcote Barn
Another venue that had spectacular views of the cotswolds was a cottage call Tuppence Barn at Croomes Grove Farm, Owlpen. I love this address!!!! It was in the middle of nowhere and a converted barn into a holiday cottage, but the views were beautiful and it was a very bright sunny morning. Amy chose this venue to get herself and her wedding party ready. She was getting married at Kingscote Barn, not very far away from the cottage. Caroline and myself turned up to do all the makeup for Amy and her bridal party. Her colour theme was pale pink so we used a palette of pinks and chocolate browns on the bridesmaids. For Amy is was a natural but defined look. She sent me some pictures below.
The Lost Orangery
The Lost Orangery blew me away it is possible the most beautiful venue I have been to this year. Tuck away in the middle of nowhere at the end of a lane is a magnificent manor house. But the Lost Orangery is its gem I think. Beautifully landscaped and very romantic, the bride is able to stay in the Orangery as well as use it for the reception, having use of the grounds that are like something out of a fairy tale. There is a boat house and ornamental lake. This is where my bride Rachael was having her ceremony with her reception a rustic theme in the Lost Orangery. I had the pleasure of styling Rachael’s hair in a bedroom featuring a very high four poster bed. Pictures of the Lost Orangery below taken from taken from Unique Home Stays website featuring lots more pictures, well worth a look.
Tracy Park, Orchardleigh House, Manor House
Other beautiful venues I have been to this year have been Tracy Park which turned out to be a gorgeous Georgian Country Manor House not just a Golf club set in beautiful surroundings. There was also Orchardleigh House which was again a very large Victorian Manor set in a massive estate, it was easy to get lost. Last but not least the Manor House at Castle Combe a venue I have attended a few times but always is a joy to visit. Pictures taken from the venues websites below.
