Its Party Time
Autumn is nearly over and how quickly the nights draw in, but with that comes a time of celebration and party season is upon us. Glitter, sparkle, shimmer, smokey are all great party makeup looks. It is the one time that women of all ages get to wear a bit of glitter as part of their makeup look.
I love all things that shimmer and sparkle so special occasion or party makeup is one of my favourite things to do. My best eye palette is the Couture Eye Colour palette from Mii Cosmetics. It is a palette that suits anyone. A minimalist party look can be created by using the chantilly 01 shade and some bold eyeliner teamed with a glamorous red lipstick. To a rich smokey eye using all three shades of chantilly 01, chiffon 02, and damask 03 and enhancing it with baroque 04 a gold glittery shade. This smokey eye would look good with a rich berry lipstick or a more nude shade if you really wanted your eyes to be the feature.
October has been very busy for me, I have had a wedding each weekend which has been lovely and a privilege to be a part of some very special days. Last weekend I was booked to do some special occasion makeup and hair for an evening wedding do. Claire wanted to be glamorous but using natural shades as her dress was a dusky pink. So we did hair up in loose curls and used pinks and browns on her eyes together with rosie shades of blush and lipstick. I think you will agree that she looked beautiful.
