Weddings, Weddings and more Weddings
Caroline and myself have been busy bees this week with weddings, wedding makeup and hair trials, prom trials and a makeup lesson.
One of the weddings took place at Corsham. Murwani my bride was getting married and leaving from home. I did Murwani’s hair, her daughter, who was Murwani’s bridesmaid’s hair and makeup, while Caroline did one of Murwani’s Indonesian guests hair and makeup. So it was a busy morning. Murwani told me that if she had been living in Indonesia all she would need to do on the day is turn up!!! It is Indonesian culture for all the family to arrange the wedding, choose the dress and get hair and makeup booked, everything that is required. So great for the bride no stressing. It is a very colourful affair and i have put some pictures below showing just how pretty and beautiful Indonesian weddings are.
Caroline’s client was wearing a couple of outfits both beautiful and containing a lot of gold embroidery and vibrant colours so Caroline focus on the gold. She did beautiful browns and golds on her eyes and chose a vibrant flame red/gold lipstick call Express from Mii Cosmetics to tie it all together. Caroline braided her hair and added some flowers to it. Murwani’s daughter had beautiful dark wavy hair so we put that into a loose roll at the nape of her neck and braids curled into a rose effect that sat just above the roll. Murwani wanted flowers in her daughter hair to match her bridesmaids dress which was a dark red. I did 1940’s style makeup to tie in with her dress as it was in my opinion a 1940’s style. A couple of pictures of Murwani’s daughter hair are below. I look forward to the official pictures.
On Saturday Caroline and myself travel to Bailbrook House just outside Bath to attend Becca’s wedding. Becca’s colour scheme was black and white with a hint of teal and we were required to do wedding makeup for Becca the bride, Becca’s Mum and two bridesmaids. Becca wanted natural classical bridal makeup so we used mink browns on the eyes and rosey cheeks and lips. Becca’s Mum Sue had a pale pink and navy outfit so we tied the eye makeup in using flesh pink and navy shades. For the bridesmaids Caroline chose natural grey tones with a hint of teal eyeliner that lifted the black. We look forward to seeing some official photos.
Lastly I was sent some photo’s of wedding hair I did a couple of weeks ago. Sarah also has written me a lovely review that you can read on my facebook page. Sarah made her own bouquet out of comics so clever and very effective.
