Vintage Wedding Showcase Arrived!
What a day! The Vintage Wedding Showcase organised by The Whitewed Directory and hosted at the Swindon Designer Outlet Village was a great success. It was an early morning start and a late pack down, but the time just flew by. Caroline and myself set up our table in the bridal styling area and began working our magic.
Our first models were Hope Jack and Zoe Collman who were modelling the 1920’s and 1930’s eras. As you can see from the photos the Hair, dresses, flowers and accessories were beautiful. The 1920’s makeup was quite dark and strong, using browns and champagne colours on the eyes and a deep pink lipstick. For the 1930’s we used golds and browns on Hope a bit lighter in style and on Zoe we brought in a bit of blue as the eyeshadow colours of that era were quite bright. Stage was a bit daunting to start with but once we were in the swing of it I quite enjoyed chatting about what we had done. The pictures below show our 1920’s and 30’s look.
So on to the 1940’s and 50’s era’s. I think out of the day the 1940’s was my favourite. It was elegant, it was glamorous, it was movie style like. Using the natural shades of eyeshadow of the day we created a timeless look on Zoe Collman who was the bride this time and Sam Tydeman who was our bridesmaid. With the signature red lips of the 1940’s they both looked stunning. Zoe’s dress for this era was also my favourite is was all about 1940’s hollywood glamour, it shimmered and sparkled like no other and apparently it was the most expensive dress of the day. For the 1950’s we bought more colour to the eyes with dazzling golds and browns and the famous eyeliner flick. Red lips finished the look as how could they not have with a vintage 1950’s look! Our models were Tracey Kassulke 1950’s bride and Zoe Collman 1950’s bridesmaid.
To sum up the day it was lovely to met potential clients. Its was different and had a different buzz about it compared to a normal wedding fayre. It was fantastic to be able to work together with different Whitewed Directory suppliers and felt part of a team. Our thanks goes out to Natalie and her team at the Whitewed Directory for organising it. Here’s to the next one!!!
