Wedding Season is here!!!
Hello and welcome to some more news Wedding Season is here! This month has been a very busy for me. I have had four weddings and lots of trials ready for weddings in May, June and July.
Our first wedding took place at Bradford on Avon. Caroline and myself did the hair and makeup for Helen the bride and her bridesmaids. It was a beautiful morning, in fact those who got married at the beginning of April had the best weather ever!! You can’t beat a perfect sunny spring morning with all the trees just coming out in leaf, everything has that new and shininess to it.
Helen’s wedding colours were sage green with spring flowers. So we used natural tones and a hint of gold green for the bridesmaids. All of the hair was half up and half down. Helen’s favourite thing is sheep and her mum patiently knitted lots of spring sheep to go on the tables. The wedding was at Winsley Church and the reception held at the American Museum who kept any sheep that were left over, as they were having an yarn bomb event. Helen’s Mum Wendy sent us a lovely email below:
The wedding and reception went really well and weren’t we blessed with the weather!
Thank you very much for the hair and make up you did for Helen and the bridesmaids last Saturday. The make up and hair made them look even more beautiful, but more than that it was having the schedule of timing for the morning and the calm atmosphere that came with you just getting on with what you had to do while the rest of carried on around you. Perfect.
Helen and Andy are now enjoying their honeymoon in California.
Thank you again.

Our second wedding of that weekend was Amy’s, again such a beautiful spring day. Her wedding theme was rustic using creams and pinks. The bridesmaids were in blush pink and Caroline and I had the pleasure of applying the bridal party makeup. We used golds, pinks and deep browns for our colour palette. The location was stunning at
Tuppence Barn, Owlpen. It was a converted barn with stunning views over a cotswold valley. Amy was getting married at
Kingscote Barn near Tetbury.
My next wedding was for Samantha and I had the privilege of doing Samantha’s hair and makeup. I used a natural colour palette and did a messy up do complimented with a tiara for her hair. Samantha’s wedding was a small intimate wedding taking place at the
Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. Again the weather was good for her and she sent me a lovely message a few days later:
Thank you so much for last Thursday. I was very pleased with my hair and makeup and lots of people commented on how lovely I looked. There ended up being a lot of tears in the ceremony but nothing budged at all. Samantha
My most recent wedding was for Kayla who was getting married in Trowbridge. Kayla’s wedding theme was a vintage style using pastels shades of blues, yellows, pinks. I had the pleasure of applying makeup Kayla, one of Kayla’s friends and her two beautiful 12 year old bridesmaids who were wearing baby blue dresses and eager to have the works!!!!!. Kayla wanted a glamorous feel to her makeup as did her bridesmaids. It was a morning full of laughter and excitement.
I would like to wish Helen, Amy, Samantha and Kayla all the very best for their futures and thank them for choosing me and Caroline. It was a real privilege to be of service to them all and I look forward to seeing some pictures.
Wedding season continues!!
